Wayne W. Williamson, Managing Partner

From 1997 until the formation of Plexus, Mr. Williamson served as CFO for Aspect Energy, LLC, primarily involved in capital formation, providing the financial capability for Aspect to grow from a $20 million enterprise to $180 million. He created innovative non-conforming debt structures in addition to Aspect’s senior bank facility that funded an aggressive capital investment program. Each of the lenders received their maximum contractual return. These structures included a “land bank” for funding undeveloped property acquisitions for seismic acquisition; a guaranty by a gatherer/purchaser to enable mezzanine financing for drilling; and a structured financing for a SPE to purchase Aspect producing properties and transferring reserve risk while allowing Aspect owners to keep the upside of the properties in the SPE. In each case, deals were structured so that the interests of all parties participating were well aligned. 

Prior to joining Aspect, Mr. Williamson was the CFO for General Atlantic Resources, Inc. and played a key role in its IPO in 1993 and subsequent merger with UMC Petroleum in 1994. 

Mr. Williamson received a BSBA in management from the honors program at the University of Denver in 1975, and held various international and domestic accounting positions with Marathon Oil and Trend Exploration until joining General Atlantic in 1989. 

David B. Christofferson, Partner

Mr. Christofferson has over twenty-five years of executive level experience primarily focused upon capital formation and financial and legal management in the upstream energy industry. Prior to joining Plexus in 2007 he was CFO for Venoco, Inc. (NYSE:VQ) where he was instrumental in the company's IPO and arranged public and private debt financings of up to $500 million. He also formed and led Venoco’s Sarbanes-Oxley team. Mr. Christofferson possesses proven abilities in the areas of capital formation, transaction structuring, negotiation and documentation, risk and financial management and analysis. His experience includes capital formation in the form of private and public equity, private and public debt, mezzanine capital and end user financing. In addition he has negotiated and implemented an array of M&A transactions in both the private and public sectors. Mr. Christofferson is proficient in diverse areas of corporate law including securities, business transactions and corporate governance.

Mr. Christofferson earned a B.B.A. degree in 1971 and a J.D. degree in 1974 from Oklahoma University. He also earned an M.Div.degree grant ed magna cum laude from Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa. He has been admitted to practice law in federal and state court in Oklahoma. 

Fred Baloutch, Director

Fred Baloutch joined Plexus Capital in 2010 from Standard Bank of South Africa where he held the position of Director in Oil & Gas Coverage, focusing on independent E&P and service companies operating in developing countries. He has led transactions in many countries around the world including Brazil, China, Hungary, Belize, Egypt, Turkey, US, and Colombia. His prior experiences include positions in the energy groups at Barclays Capital and UBS, as well as commodity price risk management and engineering positions at BC Gas and Imperial Oil.

Mr. Baloutch led transactions for E&P, Services and Private Equity clientele in the US and Canada and has experience in structuring, advising and financing for international projects. He also brings substantial experience in commodity price risk management.

Mr. Baloutch received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of BC and was a registered Professional Engineer in the Province of BC. He received his MBA in Finance with First Class standing from the University of BC and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation holder. 

Mr. Baloutch will be based in Stamford, CT.

Tara N. Lee, Analyst

Prior to joining Plexus Capital, LLC in June 2004, Ms. Lee worked for a Portland, Oregon based Insurance broker in their Employee Benefits Department. She managed current clients health insurance and 401k plans. 

Ms. Lee earned her BSBA in marketing and finance from Montana State University.
